- ➤ Daniel Energy Partners held its 8th annual Permian Basin BBQ Cook-off that drew over 6,500 oil and gas leaders and local residents. The event featured 108 cooking teams and will award at least $150,000 to winners’ charities—helping boost support for local causes. CBS7
- ➤ Roni’s Mac Bar, known for its creative mac and cheese, has announced plans to open a new store at 3415 N. Loop 240 W in Midland—local franchisee Ashley McCoy leads the expansion. The new branch will be the 13th in the chain and its opening date has not yet been set. CBS7
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Bush Family Home State Historic Site will host a 1950s karaoke night on Friday, November 14 from 5 to 8 p.m.—attendees can sing using a 1950s-era microphone and enjoy food and drinks as part of the Atomic Age After Dark series. CBS7

- ➤ UT Permian Basin received a $250,000 donation from Landgraf, Crutcher & Associates to support its new civil engineering program that launched this fall (the classroom is named in honor of John Landgraf and Drew Crutcher) and help build resources for students pursuing engineering careers. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ On November 12, a new Odessa water conservation plan detailed how households can save thousands of gallons a year and lower bills by fixing leaks and upgrading fixtures—steps that also help secure our community water supply. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Residents in South Odessa's Sterling Park Subdivision voted to approve an $11 million bond to fix dangerous roads that have made travel hard for delivery drivers, school buses and emergency responders. Ector County will study and pave 10.2 miles—improving safety and reducing vehicle damage once construction begins. CBS7

- ➤ On November 12th, Centers for Children and Families held its annual Centers Solutions Luncheon to spread awareness about mental health and addiction & break down stigma through community support.
