The Junior League of Odessa will host its 42nd annual Merry Marketplace at the Ector County Coliseum from November 6 through November 9—this four-day event will feature over 80 vendors, a Ladies Champagne Luncheon and Style Show on Friday morning, and a breakfast with Santa while supporting local nonprofits and donating decorations to the Crisis Center. The event, planned since January, promises holiday cheer and family fun for the community.

In West Texas, cattle supply has reached a 70-year low—drought and loss of farmland are pushing beef prices higher as Midland Meat Company owner John Scharbauer noted that local production helps keep prices steadier; ranchers expect the market to adjust within the next year or two as rising costs and high demand continue to affect the trade.
