Good morning, Odessa.

At the Ector County ISD October Workshop Tuesday (Oct.

13), trustees reviewed health plan cost increases that will raise premiums and deductibles for family coverage while keeping low employee rates. They discussed academic updates featuring a Transitional Bilingual Early Exit Model to boost 3rd–5th graders' English skills.

Ector County held a topping out ceremony for its new Juvenile Justice Center, where county officials, construction workers and community members signed the final beam at the 58,000 sqft facility (including classrooms, a library and technology) that will open next August.
