ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On September 4 at 5:52 p.m., OPD responded to a crash on the 7000 block of E. Highway 191 when a Chevrolet Camaro made an unsafe lane change into an 18-wheeler's path and hit a guardrail—the driver and passenger were taken to MCH with non-life-threatening injuries while the Camaro driver was cited. - ➤ A rollover crash involving a white Ford Expedition, a gray Honda CR-V, and a silver Ford F-150 occurred at the 7200 block of East I-20 at 3:52 p.m.—the police said the Expedition driver made an unsafe lane change that led to the collision, and two drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. - ➤ On July 18 at 7:50 a.m., the Odessa Police Department found Baby Boy Doe in a dumpster in an alley between the 1300 blocks of Clifford and Boatwright and ruled his death a homicide—DNA testing and forensic genetic genealogy later linked his case to his biological parents, including suspect Rosamara Biscaino Arzate who died by suicide in 2019, and detectives continue to pursue additional leads. - ➤ On Tuesday, the council will decide on hiring The Sports Facilities Companies to manage the construction of the new sports complex and keep it on time and within budget as the company will earn between 1-5% of the project cost.
