  • Odessa resident Carmen Witt—a survivor of recent floods—walked 122 miles to honor flood victims and raise funds for the volunteer fire department, starting on July 16th along a 3.6-mile trail at UTPB and pushing through pain from her knee surgery.   • An Odessa man—Wesland Galindo—was arrested for a shooting on October 6 at 11400 Edna after a neighbor reported threats and evidence linked him to the incident, and he was booked on felony charges with bail set at $95K.  CBS7
  • Odessa police are searching for two men who burglarized the Dollar General in the 100 block of West Clements Street and stole merchandise, officials said.  NewsWest9

  • Odessa College announced new additions that include Amazon Locker Hubs and changes to its First Class Free Scholarship Program—Kim McKay, the college’s vice president of student services, explained the updates in an interview.
