- ➤ Private donors formed Spirit of West Texas to donate $5,000 per flood victim by calling (432) 316-7106, while Ector County Sheriff Mike Griffis warned families to be alert for scammers. - ➤ A 40-year-old Odessa man was arrested Sunday night for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly pointing a black .45 handgun at a bicyclist in an alley behind a house on Andrews Highway at 8:40 p.m.— his bail was set at $20,000 and his companion was arrested for evading arrest.
