- ➤ Law enforcement agencies from across Ector County will honor fallen juvenile probation officer Jayda Floyd today—who died in the Hill Country floods—with a procession led by Sheriff Mike Griffis starting at 8:45 a.m. Officials plan to escort her remains on South U.S. Highway 385 then join her family at Sunset Memorial Gardens, and local residents are expected to line the route to pay their respects.
