- ➤ The Odessa City Council accepted City Attorney Dan Jones’ resignation Tuesday night and agreed to pay him $222,200 in severance pay—he thanked residents in an email for his service. The council also noted that the city's $71.5 million water treatment plant project is facing delays due to equipment issues and is now expected to be substantially complete by Dec. 31 and totally finished by April 9 2026.
