- ➤ Monahans native Timothy Ontiveros, a Bloomfield police officer, died on June 1 from gunshot wounds sustained on May 26 while on duty, and his body is being escorted back to his hometown between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.—viewing will be held today from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and his funeral service is set for June 12 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church.
