- ➤ Odessa’s 33rd Annual Police Athletic League—now in its 33rd year—is underway at Floyd Gwin Park where over 80 kids aged 8 to 11 take part in sports and field trips with police officers Monday through Friday for four weeks. - ➤ Today, the Odessa City Council will meet at City Hall to review the completed FY 2022-2023 audit aimed at restoring the city’s credit ratings—council members will also consider several zone changes including a proposal for a new swim school, a five-year contract for generator maintenance, the replacement of 20 police bulletproof vests, and ways to help Ector County avoid impact fees on new developments.
