- ➤ Authorities are asking for help to locate 36-year-old Morgan Pelton, wanted for arson, burglary, felony theft and organized criminal activity at 812 W Hillmont; call the sheriff’s office at (423) 335-3050 if you have any information. CBS7
- ➤ Ector County District Clerk’s Office reported several felony dispositions from June 6 including charges for theft, criminal mischief, controlled substance possession and robbery where offenders received sentences ranging from community service and deferred adjudication to prison time—some cases were also dismissed. - ➤ Mirac Zafer, finishing his fifth year with Harmony Public Schools, will serve as principal of the new Harmony School of Innovation—set to open in August at 4261 Mission Blvd. in Odessa. - ➤ The City of Odessa updated residents on the ongoing Crane Avenue Paving and Utility Improvements Project, noting that the right lane is closed from W. Pool Rd to W. Clements St and from W. Clements St to W. Murphy St while both lanes are closed from W. Murphy St to W. 2nd St. The 300-day project began in July 2024 and is on track to finish in October 2025 — with Reece Albert, Inc. managing the work. City of Odessa
- ➤ Today, Odessa Fire Rescue honored 25 new team members in a badge pinning ceremony — recognizing five service categories including Cadet new hires, promoted Fire Inspectors, Cadet to Firefighter, Firefighter new hires, and one year Firefighter shield recipients; each now meets state certification requirements.
