- ➤ A severe storm struck Pleasant Farms early Tuesday, damaging mobile homes and RVs while resulting in two injuries and prompting safety checks by emergency crews. - ➤ Aghorn Operating Inc and Kodiak Roustabout Inc will pay over $1 million in criminal fines after an investigation found that unsafe practices led to the hydrogen sulfide leak that killed employee Jacob Dean and his wife Natalee Dean, and Aghorn executive Trent Day pleaded guilty to negligent endangerment and will serve five months in prison+ the plea agreements dismiss other charges and require safety improvements. - ➤ A 56-year-old man from Odessa was sentenced to three life sentences on Tuesday after an Ector County jury found he repeatedly sexually abused three children over a nine-year period—he will not be eligible for parole. Odessa American

- ➤ Ector County ISD is offering Summer Feeding with free breakfast and lunch for children 18 and under and people with disabilities Monday through Thursday until July 17; fourteen schools are serving meals now and two more will open on June 9—Gonzales Elementary will serve on Fridays only and no meals will be provided on July 3, July 4, or July 7.
