- ➤ The Ellen Noël Art Museum renovation is 68% complete with crews pouring concrete for the decorative front drive and key items like a revolving door, elevator and 37-foot columns arriving. The project will add 8,000 square feet and a new administrative floor—if materials arrive on time work will finish by the end of August, otherwise delays will push completion to September—and the museum will hold a re-opening gala on Dec. 4. - ➤ On May 23, ECISD trained 60 police officers in youth mental health first aid to help them identify signs of mental health and substance use challenges among students—each officer on campus serves as a resource for timely support. CBS7

- ➤ West Texas law enforcement agencies joined a 72-hour international roadcheck to remove unsafe commercial vehicles and fix equipment issues to keep roads safe. Agencies from Andrews, Ector, Howard, Martin, Midland, and Ward counties checked vehicles and taught drivers—Ector County launched its first Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit ahead of Memorial Day weekend.
