- ➤ A 36-year-old Lubbock man was booked into Ector County jail Wednesday after he allegedly shot his 34-year-old former girlfriend in her vehicle on the 1000 block of Milburn Avenue around 11 p.m. on April 9 — bail is set at $125,000. Odessa American

- ➤ Texas A&M AgriLife Extension tested water from local wells in Midland and Ector counties as screenings held Monday in Ector and Tuesday in Midland checked for contaminants like E. coli, nitrate-nitrogen, and arsenic (50 residents were tested).
