  • Local law enforcement agencies will host Fishing for Badges on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bass Pro Shop, 8420 E. Highway 191, where families can explore equipment displays and purchase raffle tickets + support local safety efforts.  CBS7

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Odessa crews are working now to remove water from the roadway at W. 42nd Street and N. Golder Avenue during repairs by the Colorado River Municipal Water District; drivers are urged to avoid the area.  CBS7

  • Ector County Judge Dustin Fawcett presented new courthouse plans yesterday (April 8) at a Rotary Club luncheon held at Odessa College, where club members also marked National Empanada Day with a lighthearted moment.  Odessa American
  • TxDOT is asking drivers to complete a 10-minute survey on traveler needs along I-20 in the Midland-Odessa region, collecting ideas for a mobile app and feedback on the current website. The survey is now open for local input.  CBS7

HEALTH NEWS

  • Beltone Hearing Care Foundation provided free hearing aids to Odessa resident David McMillan, who lost his hearing in 1972, allowing him to reconnect with loved ones and hear church band and his wife. He now plans to attend his granddaughter's wedding while the program offers free cleaning and screenings.  CBS7
