- ➤ Two weeks after his March 13 arrest on suspicion of public intoxication, Ebony Wigfall was arrested early Tuesday morning on a felony drug charge when a University of Texas Permian Basin officer stopped his Chevrolet Tahoe traveling in the wrong direction on Highway 191 near the Billy Hext exit, finding a glass pipe with residue and 5.5 grams of a rock-like substance—his bond was set at $25,000. - ➤ The Railroad Commission of Texas reported that January production came from 158,555 oil wells and 83,176 gas wells, resulting in about 121 million barrels of crude oil and 1.00 trillion cubic feet of gas. Updated figures show that in January last year, Texas produced around 137 million barrels of crude oil and 1.04 trillion cubic feet of gas — indicating a drop in production compared to the previous year.
