- ➤ Odessa Teen Court will host a free FENT drug education class on Monday, Feb. 23 from 6-8 p.m., where teens will learn about the dangers of e-cigarettes, marijuana, and fentanyl while earning certificates and community service hours; registration is required. CBS7
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, Odessa begins the final phase of roadway improvement on N Faudree Road at the intersection with E Yukon Road with lane closures as Jones Bros Dirt and Paving Contractors (leading the work) add a new intersection, culvert boxes, drainage, updated lights, and widen E Yukon Road for better access. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ MCH Trauma Services will host a free Fall Prevention/Stay Independent Class for seniors on Monday, Feb. 23 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Mission Fitness at the Center for Health and Wellness at 8050 TX-191 Frontage in Odessa. - ➤ Garden City girls' basketball beat Rankin 60-15 Friday night at Midland Christian's McGraw Events Center — marking their third straight trip to the Regional Semifinals. They will face Eula in a 2025 rematch on Monday, Feb. 23 or Tuesday, Feb. 24 as details are to be announced. NewsWest9
