- ➤ UTPB junior Marissa Equinones is interning on Capitol Hill through the Archer Fellowship Program, which she joined after advice from Career Services; her internship ends April 23 (she returns to Odessa May 2). Odessa American
- ➤ Skillpoint Alliance will expand its rapid employment courses using part of a Lowe’s Foundation grant (over $10 million) to deliver hands-on trades training and certifications in the Permian Basin and San Antonio. - ➤ A 23-year-old Odessa man donated his kidney to his adoptive father on Dec. 19, just days before the planned transplant at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth. The selfless act came during a record-setting year for kidney transplants, highlighting a deep family bond (Saaith and Alonso Lara). CBS7
