- ➤ The Ellen Noel Art Museum will hold its 40th yearly Shrimpfest on Monday, Feb. 23 in Barn G at the Ector County Coliseum. The event offers shrimp dishes, auctions, and a raffle to support museum education programs (around 800 community members are expected). CBS7
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Howard College men's and women's basketball teams won a doubleheader against Midland College at the Chaparral Center Monday night — the Lady Hawks won their first Midland game since 2019 and the men's team snapped an eight-game skid. Both teams will play next Thursday at 5:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. NewsWest9
- ➤ UTPB President Dr. Sandra Woodley was elected chair of the NCAA Division II Executive Board for 2026 and will serve as a voting member on the NCAA Board of Governors. She will lead decisions on policies and priorities for Division II athletics nationwide. CBS7
- ➤ UIL revealed district realignment for high school sports in a Midland meeting Monday that will guide the 2026-27 and 2027-28 seasons. Odessa High is now part of a smaller Class 6A football district, affecting football, basketball, and volleyball alignments. NewsWest9
