- ➤ Three Midland College students earned early admission to the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth through the Primary Care Pathway Program, which skips the MCAT requirement. CBS7

- ➤ Extreme cold from a winter storm froze underground water lines in Airline Crossings, causing a temporary water service disruption with declining pressure Tuesday night; crews remain on site to restore service as temperatures warm. CBS7

- ➤ The Ector County Health Department issued a health alert after confirming 12 Legionnaires’ disease cases and 2 deaths among residents, with a significant increase reported in late December and early January. NewsWest9

- ➤ Midland Legacy girls and boys teams beat Odessa High at the Chaparral Center Wednesday after a winter storm delay. The girls swept the season 62 to 24 while the boys rallied on a 22 to 2 run for a 55 to 47 win; both teams will play Friday. NewsWest9
- ➤ The City of Odessa began updating Sherwood Park ball fields yesterday by adding clay to improve ball bounce & roll, making the fields safer and more enjoyable for athletes. The improvements aim to support a strong season for local sports. CBS7
