The Odessa Police Department is accepting registrations for National Night Out, scheduled for Tuesday, October 7th from 6–8 p.m. Residents must register by Friday, October 3rd at 5 p.m.—this event lets neighbors meet local first responders in their communities.
On July 18 at 7:50 a.m., the Odessa Police Department found Baby Boy Doe in a dumpster in an alley between the 1300 blocks of Clifford and Boatwright and ruled his death a homicide—DNA testing and forensic genetic genealogy later linked his case to his biological parents, including suspect Rosamara Biscaino Arzate who died by suicide in 2019, and detectives continue to pursue additional leads.
